What we do before you walk into the loop.
You send your CV, the job description and any information from the recruiter. Together, we identify the Leadership Principles most likely to be tested, then select examples that give you enough range. A strong answer is not just a good result; it shows what you noticed, the decision you made and what changed because of it.
What you will work on
Build and practise your answers
- A usable story bank, usually covering ownership, customer focus, delivery, judgement, disagreement and learning;
- Turning broad examples into concise STAR answers, with enough operational detail to survive follow-up questions;
- Separating what you personally did from what the team did;
- Explaining metrics, trade-offs and decisions without overloading the answer;
- “Tell me about yourself”, “Why Amazon?” and “Why this role?”;
- Mock interview practice, including probing questions when an answer is vague or incomplete.
Make every story interview-ready
- Adding concise Company, Industry and Role context so the interviewer can evaluate the example immediately;
- Using 15–15–50–20 as a guide for Situation, Task, Action and Result, with most of the answer devoted to decisions and judgement;
- Replacing “shopping-list” Action sections with the reasoning, alternatives and trade-offs behind the solution;
- Proving results through the right evidence—not only numbers, but also timeline, customer feedback, adoption, quality or risk reduction;
- Checking that an answer aligned to one Leadership Principle does not create a red flag against another.
What you leave with
Depending on your timeframe, the output is a clear preparation plan, a set of prioritised stories and direct feedback on where your answers need more evidence. You will know what to practise in the days before the interview rather than trying to prepare every possible question.
I coach the behavioural and motivational interview. I do not coach coding tests, technical assessments or specialist case-study content.
Is this the right fit?
This is for candidates who have an Amazon interview date or are close to one. It is useful at different seniority levels, but the preparation always starts from the exact role and process. In the free call, I will tell you plainly whether one focused session or a multi-session plan makes more sense.
